VMA - Video Music Awards

The MTV Video Music Awards were established in the end of the summer of 1984 by MTV to celebrate the top music videos of the year. Originally beginning as an alternative to the Grammy Awards, the MTV Video Music Awards was a respected pop culture awards show in its own right. They were presented annually and broadcast live on MTV. After a number of years out wandering around the country, the MTV Video Music Awards are coming home to New York! Mark your calendars, because the retaking of Manhattan will take place on Sunday, September 13, 2009, and mark these words: this city will never be the same again.

Para facilitar, aí vai uma explicação contextualizada sobre o texto acima.

Basicamente, como está no título, o texto é sobre o VMA, a premiação da MTV destinada aos artistas da música. Essa premiação iniciou-se como uma alternativa ao Grammy, mas, com o passar do tempo, acabou fixando-se na indústria musical. Essa premiação é anual e apresentada ao vivo, na MTV.

A cada novo ano, a premiação é feita numa cidade, porém, este ano será especial, pois voltará ao seu estado de origem - Nova York. O VMA acontecerá em 13 de setembro e promete abalar as estruturas de Manhattan - cidade localizada em NY.

Harry Potter and the half-blood prince

Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is a 2009 fantasy-adventure film based on the novel of the same name by J. K. Rowling. It is the sixth film in the Harry Potter film series. It is directed by David Yates. The film was released in cinemas worldwide on 15 July 2009.

Plot: As Harry Potter begins his 6th year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he discovers an old book marked mysteriously "This book is the property of the Half-Blood Prince" and begins to learn more about Lord Voldemort's dark past.

Advertising

Advertising is a form of communication used to help sell products and services. Typically it communicates a message including the name of the product or service and how that product or service could potentially benefit the consumer. However, advertising does typically attempt to persuade potential customers to purchase or to consume more of a particular brand of product or service. Modern advertising developed with the rise of mass production in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Hi folks, good evening! As I've promised you, I'll post the new texts today for you to study for the test.

At first, I'll start with the 6th grade, working with Monica's gang. Take a look...

Monica's Gang (originally titled Turma da Mônica in Portuguese) is a popular Brazilian comic book series. The series was created by Mauricio de Sousa, who signs his work as "Mauricio". Plots are centered on the adventures of a group of six-year-old friends in the fictional neighborhood of "Bairro do Limoeiro" in São Paulo. The neighborhood was inspired by the neighborhood of Cambuí, in Campinas.

Turma da Mônica - Monica's gang

An energetic and refreshingly innocent bunch of neighborhood kids and their pets, each with a special personality. Monica, their leader, takes the spotlight in the starring role. The delightful adventures of this colorful cast make them appealing to both children and adults.

Espero que essa nova ferramenta permita uma melhor possibilidade de assimilar os conteúdos de sala de aula.
